- Holds (Reserves): From the Library, place a hold on an
item at the online catalog or ask a librarian for assistance.
From home, place a hold through the library's we page. Requests
for items not found may be sent to the library via e-mail at
sayvlib@suffolk.lib.ny.us

Renewals: Items may be renewed
twice if there are no reserves on titles. New items may be
renewed once if there are reserves on the item. You may renew
items in the Library, via telephone, or through from the
Library's Web page. Overdue items cannot be renewed online.
- Direct Access & Interlibrary loans: With a valid
Sayville Library card, you may borrow materials from other
libraries in Suffolk County via Direct Access. Through
Interlibrary Loan, Sayville Library will request items from
other Suffolk County or an out-of-area library to be sent to
Sayville Library for pickup. Some materials, such as new
items, videos and DVD's, may be excluded from this
privilege.

Loan Periods: 7 Days - Adult and children's fiction
video and DVD's (new videos limited to 6 per person at one
time), Children's Holiday Collection (in season), Adult Test
Collection.
14 Days - New Adult fiction and non-fiction books, new
Adult Audio Books, Long Island Collection, Adult career
Collection, and software. 21 Days - All other
items.
