
Webb Nash Morrison and Eleanor
Ann Hutchison Morrison
Webb Nash Morrison was born in Brooklyn, the son of G. Elliott
Morrison and Dorothy Nash Morrison. He is a graduate of Sayville High
School, Ursinus College and the US Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point.
During and after World War II, he served on merchant cargo ships. During
the Korean Conflict he was stationed on the USS Caperton (DD650). He
retired as Commander, USNR. For many years Webb served in marketing and
management capacities in the pharmaceutical industry. He served as General
Manager of Searle Pharmaceuticals, Canada. Following two years as
President of Searle Farmaceutica do Brasil, Webb returned to Sayville in 1978
and continued industry activity as independent consultant to major companies.
Webb Morrison married Eleanor Ann Hutchison on December 4, 1976 in Oakville,
Ontario (Canada). Eleanor Ann has one daughter, Victoria Davies, from her
previous marriage.
Eleanor Ann "Ann" Hutchison was born in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of
Matthew Howard Hutchison, a Canadian, and Eleanor Masters Hutchison, an
American. She is a graduate of McGill University and Katherine Gibbs
School, Boston. For eight years Ann was employed in the UK and Europe by
London Press Exchange, an advertising agency. When she returned to Canada
she was co-partner in a travel business. After settling in Sayville, Ann
owned and operated Coni's Lingerie at 53 Main Street for 18 years.
Both Webb and Ann have served as President of the Rotary Club of Sayville.
Webb has been on the board of Hospice Care Network for 15 years and has been on
the Board of Sayville Historical Society. Ann has been a long-time board
member of both the Sayville Village Improvement Society and the Greater Sayville
Chamber of Commerce of which she is President Emeritus.
