Join Fire Island Pines Historical Preservation Society President Robert Bonanno and author of the book, Beach: Fire Island '79 - Fire Island's 1st Beach Party, for a look back at the party that set the standard for all parties! What started as a fundraiser for a new fire truck turned into a gala that inspired a once divided community to work and come together and change the culture of Fire Island Pines forever! Be sure to stop by the Library during the month of April and check out the Beach: Fire Island ‘79 display as well. This program will be presented as a Zoom meeting.
