Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance is an evidence-based falls prevention program that uses the principles and movements of Tai Chi in helping older adults improve their balance and increase their confidence in doing everyday activities. Tai Chi classes are led by a trained and certified instructor, the class meets twice a week, 60-minute sessions, for 8 weeks. Participants should be committed to attending all 16 classes and the first session is mandatory. This program is offered through Stony Brook Trauma Center on behalf of the NYS Department of Health Older Adult Fall Prevention Program.

This program will be presented as a Zoom meeting. Please email for the URL for the meeting, which will be emailed to all registrants one day prior to the program.
