Event Details

The Rotary Club of Sayville cares about our Marine environment! Join members of Rotary as they teach us about different shells we find at our seashore and the  creatures that live in them, using a Marine Exploration Kit. Marine Exploration Kits are a great way to connect with the marine environment! Learn about local species and habitats through self-guided field explorations that can be enjoyed safely at home!  Each kit includes all the materials you need to enjoy several science and art related activities.  Kits are filled with activities learners can enjoy independently, or with a group!  This kit showcases shells and includes a shell identification guide, art instruction booklet featuring 4 shell themed projects and all of the art supplies needed, a ruler and magnifying glass to aid in observation of shells that are included in the kit, a special Marine Exploration back pack, and more!

1 kit will be issued per child. Program space is extremely limited. No unregistered participants will be admitted.

Instructor: Melissa Parrott, Education Outreach Coordinator, Central Pine Barrens Commission.
