Local Transit

Buses

Beginning March 23rd, all passengers of Suffolk County Transit buses must board through the rear entrance.

Passengers are encouraged to pre-pay for their fares using the Suffolk FastFare app. For more information on the app, see below:

Long Island Rail Road

LIRR is operating normally, however they encouraging all non-essential workers to avoid using the rail road to reduce congestion and encourage social distancing.

All LIRR ticket counters are closed. Cash is no longer accepted on trains, however you can still use cash at ticket vending machines. Passengers are encouraged to use the MTA eTix app to pre-pay for tickets. For more information, see below:

Impact Surveys

The Suffolk County Business Recovery Unit is conducting two surveys to monitor the impact of the pandemic on Suffolk County businesses and mortgages. The results of these surveys may be used to allocate future resources. If you are interested in taking either survey, you can do so at the Suffolk County Business Recovery Unit website.
