Bob Doxsee, Jr. grew up in a fishing family. It began in Islip, Long Island, in 1865, with the farmer and pioneer canner, “J.H. (Harve)” Doxsee and ended four generations later, in 2012, with Hurricane Sandy. In his talk, Bob shares anecdotes, history, pictures, and nostalgia about his iconic Long Island family in the fin and shell fisheries business.
