Homebound Delivery

Special Delivery from the Sayville Library to You!

Does a permanent or temporary disability prevent you from visiting the library to enjoy books, movies, magazines or other materials?

Library by Mail is a free service provided by your Library.  If you qualify, we will send you materials, free of delivery charge, to your home address.

Two days before the due date, simply put the materials back in the bag and place it in the Mail.  The Post Office will mail the items back to the Library at no charge to you.

If you do not already have a Sayville Library card, you will receive an application in the mail. Please return it with a doctor's note indicating that you are homebound and need delivery of library materials. Temporarily disabled patrons are welcome, provided the need for home delivery extends longer than four weeks. Upon change of disability status, we require the patron, or their designated contact person to notify the Library that the service is no longer needed.

Want some good advice on what to read next? Start with your local librarian. We can recommend your next book or movie.  Email us at Sayvref@sayvillelibrary.org or chat with us through our chat service!

If the materials aren't on the shelf, we can place holds and send them out when they are available.
