Every year, millions of pounds of crayons are sent to landfills across the United States—leaving a big waxy mess that never biodegrades. This winter Teen Central will be participating in The Crayon Initiative, an organization that takes unwanted crayons and remanufactures them into brand-new crayons designed specifically for ill and injured kids. Come to this program with an empty tissue box or shoe box that we will decorate and use for our mission. Help us create short informational videos, signs, social media posts, and anything else you can think up! We will be using these creations to help advertise for our project, which is being a drop off location for unwanted crayons. *Parents and/or guardians, by registering your child, you are giving them permission to appear in Sayville Library's creations for The Crayon Initiative
