The American folk tradition includes a range of African-American spirituals, Southern Mountain ballads and more contemporary songs that inspired and represent the folk music revival of the 1950's and 60's. Playing banjo and guitar, Drew Velting blends traditional and contemporary American folk music inspired by songwriters such as Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and Bob Dylan. These songs are a legacy of our cultural heritage and convey social messages that are still relevant today.
