Come join A Time for Kids in this fun and fast paced Full STEAM Ahead program. With just a few common household items, we will become scientists conducting an experiment called Elephant Toothpaste. We will be practicing early scientific processes of planning, observation, and investigation as we watch this exciting and educational chemical reaction take place. Afterward, we will be able to feel the heat released from this process and play with the elephant toothpaste foam we created! See the description below for the suggested materials list. All registrants will be emailed a link to view recordings at the date and time of the program.

Suggested Materials

  • 2 Tablespoons Warm Water
  • 1 Teaspoon Yeast
  • Food Coloring
  • ½ cup of Hydrogen Peroxide 3%
  • Dish Soap
  • Empty Plastic Bottle
  • Funnel
  • Spoon to stir
  • Large pan or plate
